How to create and use Course Sections and Lessons?

In the Builder section, after creating your course, you can add sections and lessons. This article provides instructions on how to create the module, create the lesson and delete it.


1. How to create a course section (module)?

In order to group your lessons together, you can use a Section as an organizational tool. For example, if you're teaching a beginner's drumming course and have lessons on drumming techniques and various drumstick types, you can create Sections named "Techniques" and "Stick Types". 


When you have created a course and opened it, click the "create section" button at the top to create the course section.


Your Course Outline will display these Sections in the following manner:




2. How to create a lesson for your course?

In a Course, a Lesson is a type of material that can be a video, audio, text, test, or a combination of them. It is placed in a Section, and you can have many Lessons in one Section.

Your Course Outline will display all the Lessons you will learn in the following manner:



You can use the following content to fill out the lesson:

  • Text
  • Images
  • YouTube videos
  • Links to external resources
  • You can also add any files through links to file-sharing services (Google Drive, One Drive, etc.).

3. How to delete a lesson from your course?


To structure your course and organize your lessons by keeping only the most relevant content for your audience, you can always remove one or several lessons from your section.
